Inspiration

The Home Safe Card was founded by Perry Anderson, a Tampa, Florida, Police Officer, after his nephew was involved in an alcohol-related head-on collision. Though no serious injuries resulted from the accident, Mr. Anderson was inspired to create a safe, easy-to-use way for people to make better choices about how to get home safe when they were impaired in some way. Mr. Anderson quickly realized, however, that the versatility of Home Safe Cards made them useful in many more ways than just addressing that core mission.
