Perry Anderson

Co-founder & President

Perry Anderson was born in Korat, Thailand, on a United States Air Force Base. His father is American from Swedish decent; his mother is 100-percent Thai. Perry moved to Tampa, Florida, when he was 11 months old, and has called the area home ever since. Perry’s family worked hard and put both him and his brother through college. Perry completed both his Bachelor Degree at Murray State University, then met his wife-to-be enroute to completing his Master’s. The two married and are together to this day, the proud parents of three beautiful daughters.

After finishing college, Perry returned to Tampa. He got his first job at a General Motors call center. He excelled, and rose quickly into network administration. The demands of the job, though, kept Perry away from his wife, who had recently learned that she was pregnant with their first daughter. Unhappy with his job’s demands on his time, Perry left and became the Fitness Director for the City of Temple Terrace. This position let Perry exercise the skills he had acquired during his studies toward a minor in Athletic Training. It wasn’t long after that Perry became a full-time personal trainer. When clients began falling away during the holiday season, Perry took apposition working with his brother to supplement his income. Shortly afterward, he met Jerry Bourguinon, Sr. The two became friends, and Perry soon joined Jerry selling insurance at New York Life.

Perry studied hard to earn both his insurance and real estate licenses. But with the falling markets after September 11, 2001, neither career path were able to provide enough income to support his growing family.When a friend at the Tampa Police Department told Perry that they were hiring, he took the chance to secure a stable career that would provide the flexibility to pursue his real estate business when the market improved.

Perry’s experience as a police officer, coupled with a nearly disastrous car accident involving his nephew, led him to the idea of the Home Safe Card. He started the company with the help of his friend and business partner Jerry in 2007.
